FAT/PHAT…This utterance is rife with cultural interpretation, from positive social status, insult to beauty. 30 artists respond to the concept of two words that sound the same but have different meanings and spellings. The range of social and cultural interpretations include body image, oversized fashion and popular culture, spoken word, music, socio-economic status, positive and negative affirmation.
