Now starting its third year, Metro Art Studios is a renovated factory of 38 premium art studios in the South End of Bridgeport. The 3 year journey to thoughtfully renovate this lovely South End landmark has resulted in an ideal space for artists to thrive. Granted an Award of Excellence by Preservation Connecticut in 2022, Metro Art Studios is an inspiring place to create and to visit the over 40 artists working in many media - painting, sculpture, drawing, jewelry, mixed media, printmaking, music, photography, and videography. Metro also offers free professional development workshops monthly as Artist WorkLab with the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, and South End Sounds, a bi-monthly music performance series.
