Metro Art Studios occupies a renovated factory of 39 premium art studios in the South End of Bridgeport. The three year journey to thoughtfully renovate this lovely South End landmark has resulted in an ideal space for artists to thrive. Granted an Award of Excellence by Preservation Connecticut for an outstanding renovation in 2022, Metro Art Studios is an inspiring place to create and to visit the over 40 artists working in many media. Meet the artists of Metro Art Studios – over 40 artists working in a wide variety of disciplines, from drawing to painting, sculpture to jewelry, printmaking to photography, video, and music. Three full floors of professional artists in loft studios to wander, discover, explore, and learn about various forms of art, inspiration, process, and so much more. Many artists are offering special prices and rare discounts during the Art Trail.

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM | Opening Reception
Each year local curators submit proposals for unique exhibits for display at the Crown Gallery at Metro Arts Studios during the Bridgeport Art Trail. Past exhibits have been beautiful, thought-provoking conversation starters, and include artists from all over our region. This year’s exhibit opens Saturday, November 8 from 1pm to 4pm. Please join us in celebrating both the chosen curator and artists in this highly anticipated show.

Celebrate and support the arts in Bridgeport with the annual Metro Art Studios fundraiser. All works are 10” to 14” square and $100 to $300 each. Start or add to your art collection! You’ll find work in a variety of media from both Metro and regional artists. This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase work that is worth more than $100 while supporting both the exhibiting artists and Metro Art Studios’ programming during this unique fundraiser. Come early for the best selection; be there and be square!

Collect clues to solve the scavenger hunt throughout the three stories of Metro Art Studios on Saturday and Sunday. Turn in your completed form at the Metro gift shop, and receive a free piece of original art. Put your observational skills to the test while discovering great art and walk away with a unique prize. Fun for all ages. No cost to play!

Don’t miss Art Pops!, a fabulously fun fundraiser of tiny art. Art Pops! Is a custom vending machine offering small surprise pieces of art for $10 each, proceeds go to support Metro programming. All work is original, unique, and made by Metro artists. Custom mattes and frames are available for sale in the gift shop to turn your Art Pop! into a great gift or wonderful piece of wall art for your home.

Open Studios during the Bridgeport Art Trail at Metro Art Studios is not just about seeing (and buying!) art, talking to the artists, and exploring our beautiful factory; you also have the opportunity to create and make art as well. You will find “Art Activation Stations” on each of our three floors. Add to a collaborative story on a vintage typewriter, print a multi-plate and multi-color design at the print stations, and more.

The Crown Gallery at Metro Arts Studios is proud to present *In The Now*, an exhibition of contemporary figurative art in a variety of 2D and 3D media. Participating artists include Trae Brooks, Faustin Adeniran, and Janice Mauro.
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM | “Curvilinear” Opening Reception
Metro Art Studios is delighted to have an exhibit of the work of Deborah Loeb Bohren as Featured Artist, starting March 30. Curvilinear explores how abstraction in photography can transcend literal representation, offering a deeper, more intuitive experience of form, movement, and space.
