Celebrating our three year anniversary, Metro Art Studios is a renovated factory of 39 premium art studios in the South End of Bridgeport. The three year journey to thoughtfully renovate this lovely South End landmark has resulted in an ideal space for artists to thrive. Granted an Award of Excellence by Preservation Connecticut in 2022, Metro Art Studios is an inspiring place to create and to visit the over 40 artists working in many media - painting, sculpture, drawing, jewelry, mixed media, printmaking, music, photography, and videography. Metro also offers free professional development workshops monthly as Artist WorkLab with the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, and South End Sounds, a music performance series. The Crown Gallery at Metro Arts Studios is proud to present *Transformations: Reimagining Earth and Waste*, an immersive exhibition curated by renowned mixed media artist and independent curator Carla Goldberg. The exhibition brings together six visionary installation artists who transform discarded and natural materials into compelling works that provoke thought and inspire action.
