Get your ticket to adventure! Connecticut’s only zoo, celebrating its 103rd year, features 350 animals representing primarily North and South American and Northern Asian species. Guests won’t want to miss our Amur tiger and leopards, maned wolves, Mexican gray wolves, and red wolves. Other highlights include our new Andean Bear Habitat, Spider Monkey Habitat, the Rainforest Building, the prairie dog exhibit, and the Pampas Plain with Giant anteaters and Chacoan peccaries. Guests can ride on the carousel, grab a bite from the Peacock Café and eat in the Picnic Grove. Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is a non-profit organization approaching its 103rd year at a time when the mission of helping fragile wildlife populations and ecosystems is more important than ever.

Back by popular demand, this illuminated lantern festival transforms the Zoo into a glowing wonderland filled with over 35 larger-than-life, hand-crafted lantern displays that celebrate wildlife, nature, and the magic of the season. Perfect for families, date nights, and evening adventures, Glow Wild offers a unique way to experience the Zoo after dark. Enjoy new experiences, tasty treats, and photo-worthy moments at every turn. Come see the Zoo in a whole new light! The event runs every Thursday-Sunday through December 14 except for Thanksgiving. Additional blackout dates may apply.
