With City Lights/Bridgeport Art Trail as our fiduciary partner, the Bridgeport Film Fest is making “philanthropy through film” a priority in Bridgeport, CT. This nonprofit initiative is dedicated to the discovery, championing  and development of independent filmmakers and audiences.

Through various year round programming including an annual three day in-person and virtual festival in September and a variety of popup film screenings at the Connecticut State Community College at Housatonic, the BFF seeks to showcase, guide and inspire independent film and theatre artists from the Bridgeport community and beyond. Local audiences will be enriched by the films, workshops, panels discussions and other forms of artistic expression curated by the festival team and will ensure the promotion of Bridgeport to continue to thrive as a cultural artistic center!

Join the Bridgeport Film Fest at the Connecticut State Community College at Housatonic on Friday, November 7th for an evening celebrating the power of connection through art and film. The night begins with a Filmmaker & Artist Mixer from 5:00 to 6:00pm, with a chance to meet local creatives, network, and share ideas. Immediately following, we’ll present a special screening of short films by local filmmakers built around the theme of connections; exploring how stories, relationships, and shared experiences bring people and communities closer together.

We are honored to showcase a lineup of four impactful short films that reflect the many ways connections shape our lives across cultures and communities. This event is free to attend and open to all, so bring a friend, classmate, or neighbor and join us for an inspiring evening of conversation, creativity, and community. Featuring films directed by Jason A. Coombs, Tova Hopemark, Dorian Robinson, Brian Russell, and more!
